Lauren Goetzman is co-founder and Head of Development at Ibex Pictures, a filmmaker-led production and development company based in Los Angeles, where she oversees a slate of film and television projects.

Goetzman’s producing credits have premiered at major festivals, including Bruiser (2021 Sundance Film Festival); She Always Wins (2022 Toronto International Film Festival), Sombras Nada Más (2023 San Sebastián International Film Festival).

Her directorial debut, Giselle, was selected for Panavision’s 2023 New Filmmaker Program and premiered at American Cinematheque’s 2025 PROOF Film Festival. The film was awarded Best Women Short at the 2025 Indie Shorts Fest.

Through intimate, female-led stories, she explores the subconscious shadows we repress and the ways they shape our understanding of ourselves.

She holds a BA in Economics and English from Wesleyan University and an MFA in Film from Columbia University.
